Digital Atlas of Barents and Kara Seas
CWE has secured rights to assemble over 75 years of historical data on several areas of the Russian arctic for importation into a comprehensive digital atlas of the region. The data to be provided by several Arctic Institutes comes from historical archives as well as current recorded logs. The atlas will employ state-of-the-art geo-spatial mapping techniques based on the latest industry standards and be made accessible via the web utilizing ESRI’s ArcView product set. CWE hopes the atlas will serve as a valuable tool to assist in everything from current and future exploration efforts to the development of more efficient shipping lanes through the region.
